Al Kaline played all 22 years of his career for the Detroit Tigers, retiring in 1974. He had a .297 career average, 399 home runs, and 1583 RBIs. He led the league in hits and batting average in 1955, slugging in 1959, and doubles in 1961. Kaline won 9 gold gloves in the outfield. He finished in the top ten of MVP voting 9 times, but never won the award. He was 2nd in MVP voting in 1955, 3rd in 1956, 10th in 1957, 6th in 1959, 9th in 1961, 6th in 1962, 2nd in 1963, 7th in 1966, and 5th in 1967. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980.
